What’s more! this year you can also benefit from our teachers free tutorials on the pieces if you are in need of some extra help to prepare for the exam.
Candidates can now choose their piano exam pieces from the 39 pieces comprising the Grade 4 repertoire list. While the new syllabus keeps 21 pieces from the 2021 & 2022 alternative lists, the Grade 4 piano exam book presents the 9 original pieces our teachers perform in the video.
Students can perform pieces from the new 2023 & 2024 syllabus from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2024. In addition, ABRSM offers an overlap period so that students can still take the exam with pieces from this syllabus until 31 December 2025.
Although the 2021 & 2022 syllabus expires on 31 December 2022, students can still present any piece from this syllabus up to 31 December 2023 during the overlap period ABRSM offers.
We’ve got to Grade 4, congratulations, we are just halfway towards the Grade 8 landmark! At this stage, with Grade 5 in sight, students are advised to match up their music theory and instrument levels.
ABRSM will require pupils a pass on Grade 5 music theory in order to continue with higher grades so this is definitely a great moment to catch up with music theory if it had been left behind.
As squeezing music theory in your piano lessons can often be a hard task, our teachers have put together the contents of Grade 4 music theory in this online course. Do you have 4 hours to ace your exam?
Our first goal is to instill our love and passion for music in our students, whether they’re just starting out or accomplished performers.
We believe that the process of learning an instrument must be enriching, exciting, absorbing and engaging so the journey becomes just as essential as the results.
Since graduating from the Trinity Laban Conservatory and the Royal College of Music in London, our teachers’ objective is to help students realize their full potential as musicians.
We are currently working hard on creating tutorials on all ABRSM Piano Pieces 2023. They will be gradually uploaded during the summer and autumn of 2022.
